Arise My LoveArise My Love
a new collection of music for wedding celebrations by Marty and Tony Alonso. It includes 18 songs of all varieties--solos, hymns, psalms and litanies--intended to provide a rich and ecumenical resource for any couple preparing for their wedding. Texts by Mel Bringle and Susan Palo Cherwein are included, there are a number of familiar and beautiful scripture songs and solos (including, "Arise My Love" based upon the Song of Songs, and "Love Endures", based upon 1 Corinthians 13) and some of the hymn tunes reflect well-known and beloved melodies (e.g. "Simple Gifts", HYFRYDOL ["Love Divine, All Love's Excelling"] and SLANE ["Be Thou My Vision"]. GIA will publish the collection in a wedding book format, so that couples can see simple and easy version of the music. There is certain to be a number of things to suit any celebration of marriage in this collection.The CD release date is March 19, 2010, with the wedding book and individual editions following quickly after that date (Recording CD-832 / Music book in production).
