Booking a WorshipWays event

Scheduling

Typically, a WorshipWays conference needs to be booked at least 10-12 months ahead of time, to ensure sufficient publicity time and to find dates when the entire core team can be available.

 

The stipend for the core team (Fr. Jan Michael Joncas, Tony Alonso and Marty Haugen) is $1,500/each for the 2-1/2 day schedule listed on the "What does a WorshipWays event look like" page. This cost includes the Songfest evening which is part of the event (although it may be opened to a wider public to generate additional income).

 

In addition there will be the cost of housing, food and transportation. If the decision is made (between the host and the presenters) to include a fourth presenter, the expenses for that presenter will be covered by GIA Publications. Oftentimes, a significant portion of the expenses can be offset by sales by the host of printed and recorded music that GIA will send to events.
